Jeans & Chinos
These are my go-to (almost) everyday ripped jeans - they fit like a dream and are trendy AF right now. Make any look a little more casual with ripped jeans.
The Traveler collection is perfect if you travel quite a bit but need to look presentable. The blend of materials is so comfy. Multiple fits and washes available.
I prefer the skinny fit, but other fits are available. These jeans are worth the cost - trust me. Check out their other styles and shades too!
I linked the pair I wear all the time - but all of their denim is affordable and great quality!
Never thought I'd buy jeans at Target - but these didn't disappoint for the price! Multiple colors and fits available, I just prefer the skinny fit (not too tight)
Roll up the ankle and pair with casual shoes to look sharp without overdoing it. Heads up, the "Fulton" is considered their slim fit. Other styles and colors available.
By far my favorite "athletic" yet professional pant. I wear the skinny fit (linked), but a more traditional fit is available. Pairs well casually with a tee or dressed up with a polo.
Shorts, Obviously
The typical "above the knee" length is 7" - so these are a little bit higher up on the thigh. Also comes as 7" in multiple colors here.
Multiple colors available - but this one is fun to mix things up during Spring and Summer!
These stretchy khakis are my favorite! They come in so many colors and you can choose 4", 5.5", or 7" length.
Birddogs hardly classify as khaki shorts - but they are! They're SO comfy and come with a built-in liner. I wear the traditional khaki in a 6" short, but multiple color combos are available up to a 9" long.
I found these at Stag and thought they fit really well if you're wanting a longer fit without being passed your knees. The drawstring waistband is a nice casual touch as well.
Super affordable chino style shorts that hug the bum and hit above the knee. Multiple color options.
Sometimes 5" is too short, but 7" is too long. Why not meet in the middle? Other colors available!
Tons of color options at the J. Crew Factory Outlet. Can't beat the price for the quality! Or try the drawstring waist here.
This one is selling out fast. It's your classic chino look with more of an athletic feel. Multiple colors!
I think the name explains the comfort. Elastic waist and excellent material. Comes in 5.5" or 7" in multiple colors.
Athletic Wear
Grabbed these at Target once and they quickly became my favorite affordable workout shorts. Pockets? -check! If you want to stand out, they have bold colors here.
I'm a big fan of the length of the liner vs the shorts themselves. The color of these are Jet Grey, but there's a black option too!
I grabbed this exact color to wear with dark blue or black shirts, though multiple are available. I bought the 7" but I think the 5" would've been better. The 7" seems longer than normal.
TLF is a relatively affordable brand, but finding your size in stock can sometimes be difficult. I linked the full page of shorts to browse!
I have several pairs of Skora's lined and unlined shorts. Linked the page with multiple options. Pro tip: you. can usually find these at TJ Maxx or Ross for half the price.
Okay, Abercrombie &Fitch! Their athletic line YPB (Your Personal Best) is great quality (and doesn't have the A&F logo!) 7" option and other colors available.
